Do you trench or tear up my yard?

 

No.  ThirstyLawn uses a trenchless vibrating plow to pull the pipe and wire into the ground.  This process only leaves a slice in the yard which will heal in one to three weeks.

How long will it take to install?

The installation will take 2 to 4 days depending on your yard size.

Where do you hook up to the water?

The system will attach in close proximity of the water meter for the best pressure.

Do I have to call anyone to mark my utility lines?

No.  ThirstyLawn will make all of the necessary calls to the utility locating services.

What preventive services have to be done?

The system has to be winterized to protect it from the frigid winter months, and your backflow prevention device has to be tested upon spring startup.

Question 6

Can I still aerate my yard?

Yes.  However, do not directly run the aerator over the sprinkler heads.
